I'm a firm believer in a couple of things about re'sume's.
Firstly, I think they should be one page long. When I see more than one page I think the person doesn't know the difference between a re'sume' and a CV, or between the US and EU.
Secondly, they re'sume's are supposed to interest the viewer for enough seconds to put you in the "read" pile, and later in the interview pile. They're not supposed to tell your life story.
Thirdly, I think the world is changing enough that we can be a little creative in this one-page project. That is, my job history is online at linkedin. My portfolio is online at my website. Everything is online and verifiable in two shakes of a lamb's tail. So, this year, I decided to have a little fun.
Now, the question is, will I see a job that looks interesting enough for me to actually send the thing in? I doubt it. My kids aren't quite old enough yet.
